Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, distinct from the remaining groups.
This warrior group features the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy gameplay experience where non-violent answers are scarce.
Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
To begin with, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, entering the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.
The traitor then paid off his debts and ran away to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the region and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- The warrior and The healer, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could enable the team access areas they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The cleric betrayed House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.
